Children and Parents

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),“that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:1-4 ESV

Ephesians 5:21 ESV - 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

1. The Duty of Children

Ephesians 6:1 ESV - 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Proverbs 1:8 ESV - 8 Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,

Psalm 19:8 ESV - 8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

Psalm 119:128 ESV - 128 Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right; I hate every false way.
