Sermon Notes
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God,[f] who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
John 1:14-18 ESV
Exodus 33:18 ESV – Moses said, “Please show me your glory”

John 8:58 ESV - Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."

Colossians 2:9 ESV - For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,
2 Corinthians 8:9 ESV - For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
3. The Glory His Preeminence
John 1:17 ESV - For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Romans 7:7 ESV - What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet."
Romans 8:3-4 ESV - For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
4. The Glory of His Showing Us the Father
