The Whole Armor of God

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Ephesians 6:14 ESV

Ephesians 1:13 ESV - 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

Ephesians 4:21 ESV - 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

Ephesians 4:15 ESV - 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,

Ephesians 4:25 ESV - 25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

1. Understanding the Belt of Truth Objectively

1 John 2:14 ESV - I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

2. Understanding the Belt of Truth Subjectively

Titus 2:11-12 ESV - 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

Psalm 24:7-8 ESV - 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!

Isaiah 11:5 ESV - 5 Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

The Lord’s Supper

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 ESV - 23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Benediction

Jude 1:24-25 ESV - 24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
