“I dwell in the high and holy place,
    and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Isaiah 57:15 ESV

1. Tremble at His Transcendence

Isaiah 57:15a ESV - For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy . . .

Exodus 19:18 ESV - Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly. And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.

2. Rest in His Immanence

Isaiah 57:15b,c ESV - I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite

3. Worship the God-man
