Give thanks to the Lord for…
1. His Redeeming Love
Psalm 136:10-12 ESV - 10 to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his steadfast love endures forever; 11 and brought Israel out from among them, for his steadfast love endures forever; 12 with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his steadfast love endures forever;
Romans 5:8 ESV - 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
2. His Rescuing Love
Psalm 136:13-15 ESV - 13 to him who divided the Red Sea in two, for his steadfast love endures forever; 14 and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for his steadfast love endures forever; 15 but overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;
Colossians 1:13-14 ESV - 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

3. His Sustaining Love
Psalm 136:16 ESV - 16 to him who led his people through the wilderness, for his steadfast love endures forever;
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV - 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Application
1. Christ is the ultimate redeemer who alone can deliver us from bondage to sin.
2. Christ rescues us from trouble, adversity and all our enemies.
Hebrews 2:14-15 ESV - 14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
3. Christ sustains by us His Spirit and the Word of His power
Isaiah 41:10 ESV - 10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Psalm 136:26 ESV - 26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
